(HAPPY, GATOT? :DD)

YEAHHHH school's out!!
I've watched discs 6-8 of "24" Season 5! :)
Jack Bauer is AWESOME, simply awesome I tell you!
The ending just left me hanging in the air!!! But I'll watch seasons 6 and possibly 7 at the end of the year :D
Anyhow, it's been a very hurried term, term 2.
And for the final term, I just hope it'll be enjoyable, y'know?
All school terms invariably end up being very rushed, and we sometimes don't know that time has passed so quickly!
But some things never change, and they never will.
Those are the bonds that keep us together!'
like this.

Firstly, thank you EVERYONE, all the well-wishers, for the hugs that made me feel loved, and for the presents & cards, whether quirky or cool :)
I realised that knowing that I'm really trying my best, trumps feelings of loss when I think that I've screwed up tests.
Take me, mould me, use me, fill me, I give my life to the Potter's hand.
officially 16!

"So she says what's the problem baby.."
"Run baby run, don't ever look back, they'll tear us apart.."
"Low, low, low, low, low, low..."
Those songs sound so familiar, they just keep playing on in my mind like a broken record!
BOARD CAMP 09! (:I'm going to blog about it, and I shall not postpone this, because I'm afraid it will slip away before I know it. So I'm going to catch if before it falls... as you can tell, i am really in a highhhhh mood. <3>
we gathered in the ks chee, sang board songs and had LITE address (when they told us to HAVE FUN :D), hopped on the bus, and reach CAMP CHALLENGE SEMBAWANG in no time. got to dorms where we were going to spend the next 2 nights sleeping at,
BED BUDDY TING!! and
mandi. they thought we were too enthu so we didn't need any ice breakers. Basically, we kept cheering at every single thing they said, like "okay, now we have high elements/low elements!", then we went "WOOOOHH!!" yeah :D
High elements- did the multi vine! oh gosh, weird jokes they relate with T & J and the jungle vines! hahah, but it was fun. many did the pampers pole (?!) but most memorable was
azira's! (:
YAY. then lunch :D we did indoor activities after that coz it rained, like
Diamond where we carried one another and saw flexible people like
LIQI and
TING do their THING.
Night maze plus scary inspirational (so not) movie! it was quite funny
Juliettt FU and I we ran into a bunch of
Fedeleans and Foveons in the maze! then we all were led out nicely by
Tay WEI LING! yay :D scary movies were really quite scary :(
DAY TWO!!We started off with Geocaching! Sembawang park yo.
Secretariat people! our cheer man (to the melody of Thunderation):
Secretariat, Secretariat (right hand write towards right, then left hand write towards left)
We the, Secretariat People (both hands write, downwards)
When we scribe with fiery passion (heart shape from heart to people)
We create a sensation (TADAHHHH action)
Secretariat! (jump!)
Sssssssssssss... (wiggle down)
SECOND TO NONEEE. (come up with a gun sign under chin- which screams: we are cool like that!)
OKAY. so, geocaching was, i admit, tiring xD for old people, eh. old
er. then then then then! lunch. mobile adventure! archery + group juggle + PROBLEM game.
archery was fun! just that i don't think i have much talent there xD
GROUP JUGGLE WAS AMAZING CO-ordination.
JOY and I have good co-ord, I say. Both Left and Right hand throws are good! :D hehehhee. we can totally play petanque together :D
PROBLEM was nice. it really does show you that hey, when you put your mind to something, you can do it. together as a team (:
CAMPFIRE!! melvin and john, are, i think, in a world of their own (HAPPY WORLD!) but it was really fun. melvin can jump 6 chairs yo :D
we didn't wanna leave the campfire and just kept continuing to sing board songs till ms picca stepped in XD
DAY THREE!!!it then dawned upon me that we were leaving :(
we had finale challenge, which was three-legged race (I THINK SEC WAS SECOND OKAY! second to none, that means HR is none..? but ju will kill me. so okay. HR won. but sec was good too :D) and 4-way captain's ball! that was fun... a nice last activity :D
we did cheers for the instructors, like uniteeeeee and we jumped and jived to WHERE I BELONG in the LEGACY HALL!
where i belong, where i keep my heart and soul, where dreams come true for us...
as we walk together
hand in hand towards a future so bright!
i was still wondering if there were gonna be prizes for geocaching. but anyway, the most funny thing today was, melvin and john hijacked people's phones and took their own pictures, and made them wallpaper!!
ZI LIAN right. self-obsessed yo :D
but when we had to leave...
they ran all the way to the entrance!!!! to catch our buses. to wave goodbye.. for the last time, y'know?
"there are times you want to sit down and cry..."
but i hope you hold your head up high, 'cause we've come so far i know, many miles to go, together we will fly.
keep the faith rgspb <3

POST SLI was really quite amazing. Foveo's skit was cool! ours was phail.. the food was good ;D Am annoyed that ... every game... xD NEVERMIND. I won't bid so high next time!!
We got so high singing board songs that we started singing NDP songs, like One People, One Nation & Home, just to name a few! :D Funny iPod game, I agree. LUCKILY I didn't sing, I'm certain the glass would've shattered into a million pieces from my off-tune singing.
Am supposed to be studying for Theory Exam (tmr), finishing up my Philo FA & packing for the 2 camps which will last from tomorrow till Wednesday. Reminds me of last year's OSL-selection + Guides Camp + PB Camp during which I didn't return home for.. 6 days, and slept in tents for the first 3 days. Now that I look back, it's funny how I didn't collapse during the camps, and actually enjoyed all 3 of them!
....Those were the days :)
I almost lost my cool just now, but I'm thankful I held back. I probably should try the close my eyes and count to ten move...
But sometimes I really don't understand why we can't be decisive about things, have faith in our decisions, and go ahead and make the best of it. When we question ourselves, we shake our confidence in ourselves... and after going one big round we come back to the same point, and we're so tired by then. It helps us rationalise, but if we could trust ourselves on the first time, we wouldn't have to crack our brains open to convince ourselves that what we thought of is a good idea.. You know what I mean?
Like we can't force ourselves to sit down and think of something, or reach a conclusion, when it just isn't humanly possible. Like when we all of our heads are slowly falling to the table with our eyelids closed.. We should also respect that freedom of time isn't something we all can afford.
my head hurts now ((:
BUT, But, but.. TERM ONE IS OVERRRRRR! HOORAY :D
(funny that when the school claps really loudly when we are told that we have a declared school holiday, it kinda says something about the fact that we need a break from school so badly xD)

Thank you
GATOT employee for the song!
I've been playing it over and over again on Youtube that they might decide to start having charged-channels, hahaha (:
I think I owe this blog some
real updates!
So now, despite having
SS FA and HCL compo and GEOG WS to do etcetera I will blog! :D Against better judgement!
i very proudly proclaim...
school is actually exciting, because my seatmates are just really awesome! the block of people on my side of the classroom (actually since our class is really small everyone can hear us). Mish and I were singing SIX SONGS COLLIDE (which I'm listening to right now :D) so loudly even after Math started xD and Yuan Teng just always has something to say about everything I do hahhahaha!
and for the very first time, i prepared birthday presents for people this week way in advance :D
that i didn't fall asleep in class today during French, when I usually have to battle my way against the tide of eyelid-drooping!
without having to drink coffee (okay i drank green tea but that is healthy!)
everybody... SMILE!
question during french class: what do you notice about someone when you talk to him/her?
answer: his/her smile :)

RGChoir's Sec 4 busking group (some of the members include Qi Qi, Chloe, Shelly and Jovina & friends) sang this song Somewhere Out There, and I looked it up on YouTube, I really like the lyrics and melody, so here's the lyrics! Enjoy (:
Somewhere Out There
written by James Horner, Barry Mann, Cynthia Weil
Somewhere out there
beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me
and loving me tonight
Somewhere out there
someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another
in that big somewhere out there
And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there
if love can see us through
Then we'll be together
somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true
And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there
if love can see us through
Then we'll be together
somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true

Haha I made Yuan Teng addicted to the song too :D:D The tune is sooo catchy, but it's rather emo though :( Love it so much, I've played it more than 10 times... (: Happy Chinese New Year!!! Rest well during the break okay everyone? 加油!

Some things just set my thinking today...
What happened in the hall during S-L sharing.
When we say
we care for their welfare, I'm certain it doesn't entail sitting there and not bothering when close to 900 people are in the hall without aircon, with only fans at the back, the doors all shut.
When we want to be
situationally aware, we know it's about knowing when we have to stand still and not speak and when we can make noise. But I think it's also about being able to see that people are fidgety because of the unbearable heat, and that they can barely pay attention to the talk because of the temperature. It is also knowing that standing up and getting out of the hall to get the air con remote and possibly disrupting a little of the talk (which might not even happen) is irrelevant in the face of the situation.
I'm not addressing this at any group or individual, nor speaking from a higher moral ground of any sort, because if I had reacted earlier, the environment might have been much more conducive. It just set me thinking (internally & externally), and I'm only wondering that out of the 900 people in the hall, perhaps there
were people concerned, but were either too tired, jaded, or just didn't bother to do something about anything.
And is that what we
really want? It was ironic that we were all listening to the talk on "meeting the needs of the community" and "serving", when no one bothered to meet the needs of that very community we were in, in the hall.
But that is not to say we were all indifferent apathetic individuals... Because I'm sure we all had reasons for not standing up
earlier, for not speaking out
loud enough, and those reasons could
very well be valid.
But we
can do something about it, and whatever we do isn't
insignificant or
too late.
This is probably a teeny issue to some, most or everyone, but if in the future, something comes along and it matters, the thing is we shouldn't wait till it's too late :)

HEY WORLD :)
I feel like I haven't been here in ages, even though it's just been a month or so... Perhaps longer.
I'm so sorry I had to miss today's gathering with the Dwen An RI & RGS group! :( Sorry guys & girls! Need to pack.
Ah yes, and school is starting again soon, we didn't really need Reporting Day or CCAO to remind us, but it does, so we're supposed to be getting back in the mood of studying, but I'm not really ready for this..
In any case, I really hope that everyone's holiday has been good, enjoyable, and FUN :D
For me, it was all three, really!
2008 was a year of Ups, Downs and Ups (in this order, it was mostly alternating).
Starting with:
1 Orientation (Up),
2 SLI (Down/Up)
3 the Math tests (Down),
4 start of ICYL (Up),
5 MYAs (Up),
6 Wales & Ireland Trip (Up),
7 IMCB (Up),
8 Dwen An Summer Camp (REALLY UP),
9 Back To School (Down),
10 Pre-Pre-ICYL planning (Down Down..),
11 Till Pre-ICYL (Down & Up because it was stressful but it was really fun packing with Logs & Logs "Honorary Members/Slaves"),
12 ICYL (Up & Down & Up),
13 Post-ICYL (Down because I really miss it, Up because I realised that I really enjoyed myself planning with OT and LOGS),
14 Taiwan trip (Up)
15 Back to Singapore & Real Life + Holidays ending (Up/Down)
16 Packing (Can't decide yet)
17 Looking forward to Christmas (UP)
I'm glad 2008 is coming to a close (a very exciting one too), and (a very rare thing you hear from me), I am
LOOKING FORWARD to
Reporting Day, CCAO, Orientation09, and SEC FOUR YEAR.we'll rock 2009 together! :)

I MISS ICYL, today was post-mortem and I can't believe how fast everything has flown by.
Sometimes you wish you'd enjoyed it more when you had it, now it's all over and there's nothing you can do about it, and as much as you want it back, it's over.
haha, the harsh reality of it all... but the memories stay close to my heart. will, for a loooonnngggggg loooooonnngggg time. because it's the people that mattered the most, i learnt and understood, it's the people who drive everything you see and know to be true.
but there are MANY MANY PEOPLE I wanna thank here before I lose my sanity tonight,
THE ESTATE, AV, GO staff & crew, thank you so much for putting up with our last-minute requests (passed on from somewhere else), but still, thank you so much.
TEACHERS esp. Ms Koh who helped out so much, thank you very very much for just being there with us and working alongside us, such that we wouldn't have to stay up later than we did, putting up with our last minute requests to help us print, laminate and decorate things.
FACILS for doing what they do best, hyping up the delegates and really adding value to their experience at ICYL. thank you, for without you all, their experience wouldn't have been the same.
OT for just being awesome, you guys really are.
loggers! for putting up with this extremely demanding (HUGO &) BOSS here, and for being the greatest team ever, the team I can depend on and trust! You never knew it but I trusted you all to see everything through. And I knew that everything would run smoothly with you guys handling it! :D
THE amazing PEOPLE behind it- Talia Seet (HUGO), Cheng Lynn (Lazy/Loser Lynn/Star Employee), Elaine Tay (ET!/AV problem-solver), Cheryl Gatot (Gatot), Sarah Siaw (Smarah/Siow), Ariel (Tee/Laundry lady), Qiqi (Qi-squared), Ying Xin (:D), Jia Ying (Ribbon lady) & teeny weeny meee (BOSS).
Some I just came up random nicknames okay :D Like, ribbon lady! Haha but some others... Hmm, I think they will stick for a long time.
And thank you all for coining this wunderfoooollll nickname for Talia & I, (HUGO & BOSS).
Logistics: Logically the best!- we expect the unexpected.
And sometimes, (only sometimes), Fed-ex: We live to deliver.
Yours truly (XOXO),
BOSS :D

I remember some time back, when I was really really busy, I'd say:
"If you've something important, email me, I'll check."
A few weeks back, when emails were just too overwhelming I decided important things should come in another way, I said:
"If you've something important, sms me, I'll reply."
And then now I think, I realise,
"If you've something important, call me, I'll be there."
Maybe, in a few days' time, I'll say to you:
"If you've something important, come find me, talk to me face-to-face, we'll discuss it together."
Haha. The Failings Of Technology... Makes me realise the simplest things, I should never forget.
GAH. If I could count down, I wish I didn't have to, but i Do have to... It's 9 November, and that's exactly 7, or if you are more precise, 6 days to ICYL.
TELL ME ABOUT IT.But I thank God for all the people in our team, ESP talia, haha.
When I refresh my email inbox and realise that 10 emails have come in within 5 minutes of me clearing my previous unread emails, I realise that out of the 10 emails, 5 of them are from Talia, replying to the 5 emails that others have sent.
Talk about efficiency :)

yup, got back my papers.
OKAY is the only word i have to describe them.. we're not elated, but what else can I say?
we'll live.
Haha, the last post seemed emo enough.
Alright, shaken that off already...
New obsession (spelt correctly?) being Edward Cullen (yes, you're right-Twilight, New Moon; on to Eclipse and later on buying Breaking Dawn).
And borrowed Rachel TAN the POOT's GG Season 1 boxset.. Haha, don't laugh.
-SEE I MENTIONED YOU poot :D, now don't stop reading!-
Yeah-though there're so many things going on now-GMAC, Geog File (!), South Div Day, Geog Tourism Comp, Secretariat stuffies + DEPT PROPOSAL (haha!), PEP paper, 1st COY initiative,
ICYL. All in order of appearance, ha. I really need a helping hand right now, or at least, just not add to this.
alright, hope the week will fly past just as every other week has... only i wish some moments coud last longer. then again, savour every moment, yeah? this transience, only You know.
